Tswv Tuavxam Hauvnroog

Fiona is a fourth-year medical student at UCSF interested in becoming a primary care provider to underserved communities in urban settings. She was born and raised in San Francisco before completing college at UC Davis. Her passion for Asian American health and language disparities was inspired by the experience of being a pseudo-interpreter for her immigrant family members growing up. Fiona's work with AAPI communities include volunteering as an interpreter at the Paul Hom Asian Clinic, rotating at the San Francisco Chinatown Public Health Center as a medical student, volunteering with the CARE Program at ZSFG, and conducting research projects under Dr. Janice Tsoh's mentorship. Fiona recently received her Master of Public Health degree from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health.
